Tomb of Seongnyeong-daegun

Location 150, 264beon-gil, Gogol-gil, Deogyang-gu, Goyang-si, Goyang-si (San 69-1, Daeja-dong)
How to get here From subway Line 3 Samsong Station (Exit 8) take Maeul-bus 053 and get off at Goyang-dong Market. Transfer to Maeul-bus 054 and get off at Pyeongsan Villa (10 mins walk)
Alternatively, from Exit 8, walk toward Samsong Station intersection to the bus-stop going north. Take bus 9709 or 9710 and get off at the Philippine Army Korean-War Memorial. Transfer to Maeul-bus 036 and get off at Daeja-dong Community Center.

Description Location info

In Daeja-dong, you can find the tomb of the fourth son of King Taejong and grandson of Yi Seong-gye. The burial mound is comparable to those of the tombs of the kings from the Joseon Dynasty, and at the entrance to the tombs is an ancestral shrine. The tomb is particularly worthy of attention because the site was chosen through the process of pungsu-jiri (Fengshui or geomancy) in order to foster good fortune in the future.
